- The things you love most and that bring you the most joy are probably free.
- The thing you want most in your life is probably something that takes a lot of time, hard work, and patience, not a lot of money. Spending money is a distraction keeping you from the thing you actually want most.
- Technology is making valuable things less and less costly (education, idea sharing, automation, connection). You'd be silly not to take advantage of it.
- Increased cost of living means more things to maintain and keep track of (Mo' Money, Mo' Problems).
- The quickest way to personal wealth is to not buy something.
- If your cost of living is lower, chances are your carbon footprint and impact on the environment is as well.
- It's a lot easier to build savings, investments, and residual income to cover a smaller cost of living than a larger one.
- A lower cost of living means more security and a greater ability to adapt to change.
- Happiness doesn't come from things or status, it comes from self discovery, building community, and finding joy. A lower cost of living provides more time for the things that truly bring happiness.
- With a lower cost of living, you will have more time and more money to give to others to enrich their lives which in turn can bring you more joy.
